A new bus stop has appeared in the center of Bogorodsk with the assistance of community liaison officers.

      A new public transport stop was opened in Bogorodsk on Lenina Street opposite building No. 202. The initiative came from local residents, and its implementation was the result of joint work by social district officers, the city administration and deputies.

      The new stop is located in one of the busiest areas of the city — opposite the Central Library. The administration, a multifunctional center, banks and School No. 3 are in the immediate vicinity. Thanks to this, it has already become an important transport hub.

      The head of local self-government of the Bogorodsky municipal district, Aleksey Korotkov, noted that the project cost 3 million rubles and included not only the installation of the shelter but also comprehensive improvements: bus pull-in bays were equipped, pedestrian approaches were constructed, road markings were applied and traffic signs installed.

      "Thanks to the joint efforts of the administration and, importantly, the active participation of concerned residents, the new stop is open. It was placed exactly where it was truly needed," Korotkov emphasized.

      Social district officer Ekaterina Koshkina said that residents had repeatedly appealed for a new stop, and its necessity was confirmed after an analysis of the route network.

      "This is an important point in the city. Very convenient. We will continue to work on residents' requests," she added.

      Local residents have already appreciated the convenience of the new stop. "Now you can get to the needed address by bus without spending money on a taxi. It's especially good that the stop appeared at the start of the school year — there's a school and a library nearby," said resident Vera Kulymanova.

      The stop began operating in August 2025. The shelter is made of composite materials with double-glazed windows, which makes waiting for transport comfortable even in bad weather. The project was funded from the city budget.

      Recall that the "Social District Officer" project has been in effect since March 2023 at the initiative of the governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Gleb Nikitin. It covers Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Arzamas, Bogorodsk and Kstovo, bringing together active citizens who act as intermediaries between the authorities and society.
