Culture and Leisure. To mark the centenary of Arkady Strugatsky's birth, a large-scale quiz titled "History of the Future: Technologies of Science Fiction" (12+) is launching in Russia. The project organizers reported that participant registration began on August 28.
The quiz itself will take place on October 7 at the National Center "Russia" as part of the symposium "Creating the Future". Schoolchildren aged 14 and over, as well as college and university students from across the country, will be able to take part.
For participants' convenience, an online format is provided — the challenge can be taken on the platform историябудущего.рф. Participants will have to answer 15 questions covering topics of science fiction and modern technologies — from artificial intelligence to exoskeletons.
Each question will be accompanied by excerpts from works by recognized masters of the genre. The excerpts will be performed by well-known actors, scientists, and writers, which will lend the quiz a special atmosphere.
The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia as part of the Decade of Science and Technology. The key partner is the state corporation Rosatom, which will organize excursions for the winners to its leading scientific and technological facilities.
Recall that at the Strelka in Nizhny Novgorod a science-and-art exhibition "Atom. Future" (6+) opened, timed to the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry.
