About half a million people attended the events of the multi-genre music festival "Capital of Sunsets" this season.

      The multi-genre music festival "Capital of Sunsets" 2025 has concluded in Nizhny Novgorod. This season, starting on May 30, 138 concerts and other events were attended by more than 490 thousand people.

      "For us it is important that 'Capital of Sunsets' is becoming not only an event with large attendance but also a platform of new opportunities for musicians and city residents. This year we opened the application form to participate in the 'Solo at Sunset' project — any talented performer could make a name for themselves. Also, participants of the 'Vysota' art residency were involved as artists in the street concerts. We held summer open-air rehearsals with music, engaged representatives of cultural institutions, and also integrated graduates of the Petr Lundstrem School. These are steps toward making the festival not only a bright city celebration but also a tool for developing the region's creative environment," emphasized Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Oleg Berkovich.

      The festival took place along the following directions:

      — "Rakuska" — concerts on the stage of the same name in Alexandrovsky Garden: evening concerts featuring artists from various musical genres, Sunday classical concerts as part of the "Music over the Volga" festival, as well as two federal festivals;

      — "Solo at Sunset" — performances by artists at various venues around Nizhny Novgorod;

      — "Iskra" — city gatherings in Sverdlov Square;

      — the gastro festival "Gastronomic Christmas."

      More than 41 thousand people visited "Rakuska" this summer, where four concerts took place — featuring Eva Polna, Global Jazz Quartet, L’ONE and the band Zveri; as well as the "Music over the Volga" festival and two federal festivals. On June 14–15, the festival "This Summer" featured performances by Sirotkin, The Hatters, Obstoyatelstva, ZOLOTO and others. From July 29 to August 10, as part of the Summer Sound x Beeline festival, concerts were held by Komnata Kultury, Cream Soda, Tri Dnya Dozhdya, Uma2rman and others.

      Two concerts as part of "Music over the Volga" were organized at the Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic named after Mstislav Rostropovich and attracted about two thousand people.

      Within the "Solo at Sunset" direction there were 96 concerts, 40 of them on the Fedorovsky embankment. In addition, during the summer solo performances took place near the motorboat "Geroi" and the Mayak Academy on the Lower Volga Embankment, on the viewing platform next to the upper station of the funicular in the Kremlin, on the Strelka, and at a number of other venues. In total these performances were attended by about 58 thousand people.

      Five events in Sverdlov Square under the "Iskra" direction gathered more than 12 thousand people. Residents and guests of the city took part in a children's flea market, an art picnic, a Big Garage Sale, etc.

      "Gastronomic Christmas" took place every Saturday. About 380 thousand people visited the 14 themed festival days, among them "Food in Detail," "Gastro Art," "In the Rhythm of the Carnival," and "Institute of Food."
