      The leader of the A Just Russia — For Truth party, Sergey Mironov, has submitted amendments to the Labor Code to the State Duma. The initiative concerns parents who care for children up to one and a half years old. The co-author of the document is Marina Kim, a deputy from the same party. According to 360.ru, the text of the bill has come into the possession of the editorial office.

      Mironov insists that the work of mothers and fathers in raising children should be recognized as full work. He says the state is obliged to value this difficult and responsible work.

      The authors believe the bill removes discrimination and strengthens social protection for parents, especially in large families. In light of calls for demographic support, Mironov notes, the current restrictions seem unfair.

      The lawmaker criticized the current six-year limit on counting child-care periods toward work experience. He called it absurd, as it effectively pushes families to limit the number of children.

      The initiative proposes that periods of caring for each child up to 1.5 years be counted double in pension and employment records. For example, a mother of four children would have 12 years of service instead of 6.

      Mironov also recalled other party proposals to support families. These include a "parental salary" for those who do not work and raise children, an increase in maternity capital payments for the second and third child, and doubling these payments in regions with low birth rates.

      In addition, A Just Russia — For Truth proposes issuing interest-free targeted housing loans to young families and increasing tax deductions for children.
