The first two young specialists of the agro-industrial complex from the Buturlinsky and Dalnekonstantinovsky districts received targeted payments of 2 million rubles to improve their housing conditions. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Agriculture.
"From this year the size of the regional payment to young specialists working in the agricultural sector has doubled. It is already noticeable that this support measure is in demand. If last year only one young specialist applied for the targeted payment of one million rubles, this year several applications have already been received. Documentation is currently being checked for compliance with all requirements. Young specialists are getting a real opportunity to acquire their own housing and create comfortable conditions for their future families. This not only helps retain young personnel locally, but also lays the foundation for their long-term professional development," said Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The regional Ministry of Agriculture explained that the Law of the Nizhny Novgorod Region of 26 December 2018 No. 158-Z "On measures to develop the personnel potential of agricultural production of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" provides for monthly payments for young specialists of agricultural organizations and peasant (farmer) households (KFH) up to and including 35 years old who have obtained higher or secondary vocational education in specialties in the agro-industrial complex (AIC) in the amount of 8,000 or 6,000 rubles for a period of two years. By committing to work in the organization for at least five years, a young specialist can count on a one-time allowance of 500,000 or 400,000 rubles, which is paid once and can be used for various purposes, depending on the recipient's choice.
Now, as an alternative to the cash allowance, young specialists can improve their housing conditions by applying for a one-time targeted payment of 2 million rubles.
One of the recipients of the new support measure was 25-year-old resident of the urban-type settlement Buturlino, Andrey Sidorov. He qualified as a mechanic technician at the Buturlino Agricultural Technical College. In his final year he completed an internship at "Buturlino Agro", where he started working after graduating from the college and where he has been employed for five years.
"For two years I received a supplement to my salary as a young worker — four thousand rubles. When I learned that I could also apply for a one-time payment to improve housing conditions, I gathered all the necessary documents in a couple of days and applied to our district administration. I bought a two-room apartment in Buturlino. I consider this a good support for a young specialist," Andrey Sidorov said.
