Details of the arrest of the former head of Nizhny Novgorod's "GUMMiD" have been disclosed.

      The former head of the municipal autonomous institution "Main Directorate for the Construction and Repair of the Metro, Bridges and Road Networks in Nizhny Novgorod," Andrey Levdikov, turned himself in to law enforcement after several months on the run.

      As reported by the program "Kstati" (16+), on September 1 Levdikov voluntarily came to the police. Since spring he had been on the federal wanted list in a case of receiving a bribe of an especially large amount.

      During the court hearing the former official petitioned for a preventive measure in the form of house arrest. He insisted that he did not intend to flee and emphasized the voluntariness of his coming to the police. Despite this, the court decided to remand Levdikov in custody. He faces up to 15 years in prison.

      Recall that a criminal case against the former head of GUMMiD was opened in May 2025. According to the investigation, he is implicated in a corruption crime.
