      Employees of the Investigative Committee have begun an inquiry into the death of a firefighter who took part in extinguishing a warehouse fire in Nizhny Novgorod.

      According to preliminary information, the incident occurred on September 3, 2025, at a warehouse located on Beketova Street. During the extinguishing of the blaze, one employee of the municipal fire service suffered fatal poisoning from combustion products.

      Investigators are currently establishing all the circumstances of the incident, including the cause of the fire and compliance with safety regulations during firefighting.

      Recall that the Investigative Committee is clarifying the circumstances of the death of a 99-year-old Nizhny Novgorod resident during a fire in the Borsky district.
