A new phase of the reconstruction of the tram tracks on Ilyinka will start on September 2.

      On September 2, the next stage of tram track reconstruction will begin on Ilyinskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod. The work will cover the section from Maslyakova Street to the turn onto Dobrolyubova Street.

      According to Ecological Projects LLC, the contractor will replace 2.3 km of rails in single-track terms. A full range of measures to renew the track bed is planned.

      During the reconstruction the roadway will be narrowed. Traffic on this section will become one-way — vehicles will only be able to travel toward Dobrolyubova Street.

      Major construction and installation work is planned to be completed by the end of 2025.

      Earlier, tracks on Ilyinskaya Street were already renewed: the section from Krasnoselskaya to Maslyakova was handed over in December 2024, and replacement on Dobrolyubova Street was completed in May 2025.
