A nurse from Nizhny Novgorod won 150,000 rubles from her employer in court.

      A senior nurse at one of Nizhny Novgorod’s hospitals received compensation of 150,000 rubles after the institution failed to pay her entitled monthly social supplements for a year and a half. This was reported by the news agency "Stacionar-Press."

      According to the healthcare workers' union of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, since March 2024 the woman had not received the established social payment of 13,000 rubles. The medical institution’s administration did not grant the supplement without legal grounds.

      Having not received a resolution locally, the nurse turned to the regional trade union for help. Lawyers helped her prepare a lawsuit and defend her rights through legal proceedings.

      The court found the employer’s actions unlawful. As a result, payments were restored and compensation was awarded for the entire period of arrears — about 150,000 rubles.

      It was previously reported that Nizhny Novgorod authorities will expand the support program for medical students.
