Roads to schools and kindergartens are being actively repaired in Nizhny Novgorod.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, the renewal of road infrastructure continues as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." Priority this year has been given to sections leading to educational institutions — schools, kindergartens and sports sections. This was reported by the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod mayor’s office.

      According to the city administration’s Department of Transport and Highways, work is already underway on a number of key routes. On Gagarin Avenue, repairs to 7.5 km of roadway are being completed. School No. 135 and kindergartens No. 3 and No. 235 are located here.

      On Lenin Avenue the road surface has already been completely renewed. In addition, a dedicated lane for public transport has been introduced on the section from Druzhayev Street to Novikov-Priboy Street. This will improve transport accessibility to School No. 62, as well as kindergartens No. 151 and No. 410.

      On Reshetnikovskaya Street, next to Lyceum No. 40, asphalt laying has been completed and road markings applied.

      On Karl Marx Street, where School No. 176 and kindergartens No. 305 and No. 46 are located, work continues. The site is currently estimated to be 25% complete. The contractor has already replaced curbs, improved the sidewalks and installed a bus shelter at the school. Repair of the roadway will begin in the near future.

      In total, this season’s road repairs will directly affect more than ten educational institutions. At the same time, the renovated roads will also improve access to other facilities — including sports schools and clubs.

      The national project’s goal is to create a comfortable and safe urban environment for children, parents and educators.

      It was previously reported that nearly 911 million rubles were allocated in 2025 for road repairs under the national project in Nizhny Novgorod.
