      A fatal fire in a private residential house in the settlement of Sukhobezvodnoye, Nizhny Novgorod region.

      According to the regional EMERCOM office, the flames covered an area of 104 square meters. Fire crews promptly arrived at the scene. Fifteen emergency service personnel took part in extinguishing the fire, and five vehicles were involved.

      Rescuers found the body of the 46-year-old homeowner in the ashes. According to preliminary data, the tragedy may have been caused by careless smoking. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.

      Earlier it was reported that a fire in an apartment building in Nizhny Novgorod forced the evacuation of 10 people.
