A resident of Nizhny Novgorod paid off a large tax debt after being barred from leaving Russia because of the debts. This was reported by the regional office of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP).
The 44-year-old man owed the state 240,000 rubles. Enforcement proceedings to collect this amount were initiated at the Sormovsky District office of the bailiffs. An agency officer notified the debtor of the consequences of non-payment, including the possibility of coercive measures.
However, the citizen not only failed to repay the debt within the prescribed period, but also began avoiding contact with the bailiff. In response, coercive recovery measures were taken: the man was restricted from leaving the country, prohibited from carrying out registration actions in relation to his apartment and two plots of land, and his accounts and real estate were seized.
When the debtor urgently needed to travel abroad, he found it impossible to do so because of the imposed restrictions. To resolve the problem, the man promptly paid off the entire debt together with an enforcement fee of about 17,000 rubles. After full payment of the debt, all restrictions were lifted, and the enforcement proceedings were completed by actual execution.
Earlier it was reported that bailiffs sold the Nizhny Novgorod resident’s apartment to cover debts for 6 million rubles. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
