      On August 20, an anniversary event "Era of Dreamers" (16+) dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the state corporation Rosatom took place in Nizhny Novgorod. More than 30,000 spectators gathered at the city's main stadium, including 20,000 Rosatom employees.

      Elena Mozgunova, historian, PhD in Political Science, associate professor at the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Management — a branch of RANEPA:

      "The state corporation Rosatom holds a significant place in the country's economy. I believe that when assessing the company's role one should start from its declared values, and most importantly their correspondence to practical activities: safety, efficiency, respect, one team, one step ahead, and accountability for results. These tenets were formulated more than 10 years ago.

      "Rosatom is a diversified holding that unites more than 400 enterprises in energy, construction, and engineering. In addition to its core activity related to electricity generation, the state corporation is developing relevant areas such as hydrogen energy as an alternative to traditional fuels and nuclear medicine. Of course, such scale makes the company one of the country's largest employers, and numerous educational programs and the creation of corporate universities build human resources and attract young specialists to the industry. According to official data, Rosatom has a presence in over 50 countries, and our country is among the few states capable of independently building turnkey nuclear power plants (recent large-scale projects include the Ruppur NPP in Bangladesh and El-Dabaa in Egypt).

      Speaking of Nizhny Novgorod's nuclear workers, I dare say their role extends beyond regional significance. At enterprises such as Atomenergoproekt or NIIEFA there are engineers, technologists, IT specialists, and scientists who are behind many innovations and projects implemented in Russia and around the world. This contributes to the formation of technological sovereignty, which is so relevant today. Thus, the Rosatom State Corporation is one of the drivers of the Russian economy, a bearer of an innovative, educational, and social mission. And Nizhny Novgorod is one of the centers where ideas are born and put into practice."
