500 sites for business initiatives are available in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      In the first seven months of 2025 specialists from the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation identified 90 sites for the implementation of investment projects. This was reported by the corporation.

      Work is being carried out within the investor support system on a "one-stop shop" principle. This mechanism speeds up the application review process: within three working days authorities transfer information about the project to the Corporation, and within 14 days entrepreneurs are provided with concrete proposals for land plots for construction.

      When selecting sites, specialists use the region's and Russia's investment maps, as well as open sources, including data from the State Information System for Ensuring Urban Development Activities. Currently, about 500 plots are available on the Nizhny Novgorod Region investment map for business initiatives.

      Among examples of successful work is the selection of a site in the Borsky District for the construction of a glamping park with an investment volume of 60 million rubles. Also in Nizhny Novgorod a site was found for the placement of a complex for the production and storage of metal structures. This project will require investments of 200 million rubles.

      Igor Ishchenko, General Director of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, noted that the "one-stop shop" principle helps businesses reduce time and financial costs, as well as increase the efficiency of interaction with authorities. According to him, corporation specialists accompany investors at all stages — from consultations to commissioning of enterprises and their subsequent expansion.

      The Nizhny Novgorod Region ranks second in the National Rating of Investment Climate compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

      Since 2025 investor support and improving the quality of work with them have been included in the tasks of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy," initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. This national project will become the main tool for forming a new model of economic growth and includes federal initiatives for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, increasing labor productivity, investment activity, low-carbon development, and improving the system of statistics and forecasting.
