      Society. Member of the Civic Chamber of Russia Pavel Pozhigaylo, during a live broadcast on the 360 TV channel, expressed concern that pets, especially large ones, are beginning to play an increasingly significant role in women's lives, replacing their families, husbands and children.

      Pozhigaylo proposed setting a limit on the number of large pets in a household so that it does not exceed the number of children.

      He said that in one of his conversations with a woman from St. Petersburg it turned out that she allows her husky to sleep with her in bed. In Pozhigaylo's opinion, this is abnormal and indicates a replacement of family values with more "perverted" priorities.

      Pozhigaylo noted that in the West there is a trend to keep five or six dogs or cats, which become full members of the family and even sleep in the same bed as their owners.

      He believes that this leads to a distortion of family values and is a continuation of the childfree ideology. In his view, such phenomena indicate a "broken psyche" and require a ban.
