      Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region can apply for the All-Russian Youth Achievements Award “Time of the Young” until August 31. Registration is open at время-молодых.рф. The award is held in line with the goals of the national project “Youth and Children” and is intended to recognize leaders of public organizations, staff, managers and teams in the field of youth policy, and commercial organizations — essentially everyone who creates conditions for the self-realization of children and young people. The organizer of the award is the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).

      In 2025 the award introduced a new nomination, “Leader of Youth.” It is intended for heads of municipal formations who are open to dialogue and cooperation with young people and youth organizations. Candidates are nominated by local self-government bodies through registration on the website.

      Another important part of the award is the All-Russian professional skills competition for specialists who work with youth. It includes six individual and three team nominations.

      Individual nominations of the competition: “Beside the Youth: Youth Policy Management,” “Time of Professionals: Technologies for Working with Youth,” “Contribution to the Future: Youth Policy and Educational Work,” “Make Way for the Young: Talent Management and Unleashing Potential in Companies and Agencies,” “Leading the Way/First: Development of Children’s and Youth Groups,” and “Minister of Youth – 2025” (for heads of executive bodies of Russian regions who implement youth policy).

      Team nominations: “Youth Center Team,” “Municipality Team,” “Enterprise/Agency Team.”

      As usual, applications are being accepted in the nomination “Youth Capital of Russia – 2026” — for cities with outstanding achievements and ambitious plans to improve youth policy in their municipality and region. The organizers note that the submission of letters of intent to nominate cities on behalf of the city head or the highest official of the subject has been extended to September 1 (previously August 17), and the deadline for submission of application packages from nominated cities has been extended to September 15 (previously documents were accepted until August 31).

      “Youth Capital of Russia” is the most popular and grassroots nomination of the Rosmolodezh award “Time of the Young.” Voting this season will also take place on Gosuslugi, with last year’s rules retained. As a result of the award in 2024 we received more than 818,000 votes and identified two capitals — Omsk and Perm. This year we will again determine two youth capitals and two winning cities — among large and small cities. We invite all Russians to come up with a name for the nomination for small towns. Laureates of the “Time of the Young” award will be presented with their awards at a ceremonial ceremony in December,” said Rosmolodezh head Grigory Gurov.

      The idea of a second winning city was proposed by Polina Cheremnykh at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Youth Day. She noted that among non-capital cities in the regions of Russia there are many interesting places that could become hubs for young people.

      To register, select the desired nomination on the website: “Youth Capital of Russia – 2026” or “Nomination for Small Towns” and then proceed to fill out the contest application.

      Based on the results of the qualifying stage, no more than five cities will be selected as finalists in each of the two nominations. Inspection visits to the cities that make the final will be organized in the format of an online show. The final stage will be a public vote, which will take place in December.

      The cities that win will receive the right to implement Rosmolodezh projects on their territory, including participation in the federal grant competition, as well as informational, methodological and expert support from Rosmolodezh to implement the proposed initiatives.

      As previously reported, this year Rosmolodezh will determine prize-winners and winners in 13 nominations as part of the “Time of the Young” award. These include organizations and specialists who have made the greatest contribution to the development of the youth policy sector.

      In 2025 the best will be chosen in the following nominations:

      1) “Youth Event of the Year” — for forum directorates of all-Russian forums and project teams that organized the most interesting and effective events for Youth Day.

      2) “A Place for Youth” — for youth policy institutions, including those opened as part of the “Region for Young People” competition and year-round youth educational centers.

      3) “Youth Communities” — for public associations or non-profit organizations that implement projects and programs aimed at the comprehensive development of young people.

      4) “Friend of Young People” — for commercial organizations that carry out socially useful activities in the field of youth policy.

      5) “Friend of Russia” — for compatriots living abroad who have united like-minded people and implemented initiatives aimed at promoting an objective image of Russia.

      6) “Young Professionals in the Service of the Country” includes sub-nominations:

       - “Gosstart” — for youth councils of federal executive bodies, youth governments and youth parliaments;

       - “Best Youth Council of a Company” — for youth councils of enterprises and companies that have made the most significant contribution to the development of youth policy;

       - “Young Manufacturer” — for young entrepreneurs who manufacture products in Russia;

       - “More Than a Camping Region” — for regions that develop domestic hiking tourism. Within this nomination a region will be selected to host the All-Russian children’s camping rally “More Than a Journey”;

       - “Hero of Our Time” — for participants of the special military operation who have made a significant contribution to the development of youth policy and patriotic education;

       - “Young Family” — for student families who successfully combine studies, family responsibilities and public life;

       - “Guardians of Childhood” — for law enforcement officers who work with children and adolescents and have contributed to creating a favorable environment for the development of the younger generation or assisted children in resolving difficult life situations;

       - “Agro-Leader” — for young people living in rural areas who implement projects and programs aimed at the comprehensive development of children and youth;

      7) “Friend of Nature” — for specialists in the youth policy system, participants of the Movement of the First, leaders and activists of NGOs who implement eco-educational, nature conservation and volunteer initiatives aimed at fostering environmentally oriented thinking among young people.

      Results in all nominations will be announced at the ceremonial award ceremony in December 2025.
