Society. The first lecture on the topic "First Time in First Grade. How to Help a Child Adapt to School" was held at the United Russia Public Support Headquarters. The speaker was Natalya Zhuina — a child and family psychologist, speech therapist-defectologist, and specialist in parent-child relations.
She shared with parents advice that will help avoid stress and create a comfortable atmosphere for children during this important period of life: which behavioral traits parents of first-graders should pay attention to, how to properly carry out adaptation to school, and how to create a favorable atmosphere for a successful start to the school year. The lecture took place in the format of an open dialogue: parents not only listened but also shared their stories and asked questions.
"I received a lot of useful information. The speaker was amazing. Natalya Zhuina literally laid everything out on the shelves. Of course, there wasn't enough time to answer all the questions, but we will definitely discuss them with her at the next meeting," said one of the participants, Irina Tsareva.
"This series of lectures was developed as part of the party project 'New School', aimed at supporting families and creating a comfortable environment for a successful start for schoolchildren. It was created specifically for parents whose children will soon start school. It is important to provide psychological assistance to both parents and children in overcoming the difficulties of the school period. After all, as they say, 'A happy parent — a happy child.' Our experts will explain how to interact properly with a schoolchild, support them, avoid negative impacts on a child's psyche, and help the child cope with academic tasks. A continuation of the series of meetings and consultations for parents has already been planned. They will all take place at the Public Support Headquarters until the end of this new school year," explained Margarita Bannikova, regional coordinator of the 'New School' project of the United Russia party.
Recall that the party project 'New School' is aimed at improving the quality of Russian education, its accessibility, and creating equal opportunities for children's education regardless of the territory of their residence. The provisions are enshrined in the Party's People's Program. 'New School' plays an important role in creating modern and comfortable learning conditions, raising teachers' qualifications, and implementing innovative educational programs.
