      A huge solid household waste dump covering 2.88 hectares has been discovered in the Krasnooktyabrsky district of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. This was reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor office for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and the Republic of Mari El.

      According to it, on August 14 the office's specialists inspected a plot of more than 130.9 hectares near the village of Yendovishchi and uncovered serious environmental violations. In particular, the tenant is not carrying out measures to protect the land from overgrowth and littering.

      A solid household waste dump has formed on an area of 2.88 hectares. Among the rubbish are construction materials, old furniture, broken bricks, fragments of slate, tin cans, plastic bottles and felled trees. The remainder of the plot, more than 128 hectares, is overgrown with weed vegetation, including common charlock, dandelion, field bindweed, sow thistle, couch grass and bitter wormwood.

      An official warning about the inadmissibility of further violations of the law has been sent to the land tenant, LLC "Yendovishchenskoye-1".
