      A criminal case is being investigated in Vyksa against a resident of the Omsk Region, suspected of attempting to murder two people. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      According to investigators, the incident occurred on 15 August in an apartment on Vavilina Street. A conflict arose between the man and two of his acquaintances, during which he grabbed a knife and struck both opponents, inflicting wounds to their bodies.

      The victims were urgently hospitalized. Thanks to timely medical assistance, their lives were saved.

      The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on a charge of attempted murder of two persons. By court decision the man has been remanded in custody.

      Necessary investigative actions are currently being carried out. Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

      Earlier it was reported that one of the teenagers who beat a man to death in the Avtozavodsky district of Nizhny Novgorod was arrested.
