Rain again: Nizhny Novgorod residents face a gloomy weekend

      Society/Weather continues to remind residents of Nizhny Novgorod of the approaching autumn. Over the holiday weekend, timed to City Day celebrations, one should not expect sun and warmth. Specialists from the Yandex Weather service predict cloudy and rainy conditions.

      On Saturday, August 16, the morning will start with variable cloudiness and temperatures around +17°C. During the day the air will warm to +23°C, but by evening the sky will fill with clouds, it will become overcast, and thermometers will drop to +20°C. Closer to night the temperature will fall to +16°C and cloudiness will persist. Due to humidity and a 2–3 m/s wind, the weather will feel cooler than the thermometer indicates. Fortunately, residents will be able to celebrate City Day without rain.

      On Sunday, August 17, precipitation is expected throughout the day. In the morning the temperature will be +18°C, during the day about +21°C. Toward the evening brief clearings are possible, but the rain will not stop and the temperature will fall to +19°C. At night it will get even cooler — down to +15°C. The wind will increase to 3–4 m/s, which will heighten the feeling of dampness and chill.
