A suspect has been detained in the brutal murder of a woman in Dzerzhinsk.

      Incidents. In Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region, investigators of the Investigative Committee, with the support of MVD operatives, detained a 40-year-old local resident who is suspected of the particularly brutal murder of a woman. This was reported by the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee.

      According to investigators, the perpetrator attacked a woman he did not know in a wooded area. He strangled her, inflicted multiple hammer blows to her head, committed sexual acts, then took her money and fled.

      After the interrogation, the man was charged. He gave a confession and described the circumstances of the incident in detail.

      Investigators are currently continuing work to establish all the details of the crime. A motion requesting that he be remanded in custody has been filed with the court.

      Earlier it was reported that the woman worked as a social worker and taught Oriental dance classes at a local fitness club in the evenings. On the day of the tragedy she was heading to the river through the forest, where the crime occurred.
