Pari NN beat Rostov in the Russian Cup and ended its losing streak.

      Sport "Pari Nizhny Novgorod" claimed their first win of the season, beating "Rostov" in a second-round group-stage match of the RPL Path of the Russian Cup. The match took place on 14 August in Saransk and ended 1–0 in favor of the Nizhny Novgorod side.

      The teams fielded mixed lineups, but the players of "Pari NN" held the advantage for most of the match. They created several sharp chances already in the first half.

      After the break both teams made substitutions. In the 74th minute Uruguayan forward Juan Boselli opened the scoring with a direct free-kick.

      For "Pari NN" head coach Aleksey Shpilevsky this victory was his first since his appointment in June. Previously the team had lost all five matches under his leadership.

      It was earlier reported that "Pari NN" will return to their home stadium in Nizhny Novgorod only in October.
