Society. The governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Gleb Nikitin, visited the town of Temnikov in the Republic of Mordovia and paid a visit to the Nativity of the Theotokos Sanaksar Men's Monastery. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, it is one of the country's leading monasteries, founded in the 17th century and listed as a federal cultural heritage site.

Nikitin noted that the monastery is located not far from the Seraphim‑Diveevo shrines, but logistics between these spiritual centers remain difficult. He said that a new road will help solve this problem and shorten the route for pilgrims and tourists. According to him, the relevant work is already underway.

The governor also said that during his visit to Mordovia he discussed with local authorities opportunities for interregional cooperation in various areas. He added that he gladly strolled around the notable sites of Saransk.

The Head of the Republic of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, confirmed on his Telegram channel that the new highway "Stary Gorod village – Veshcherka village" will bring two well-known monasteries closer — the Seraphim‑Diveevo in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and the Sanaksar in Mordovia.

Recall that on August 1 Divyevo marked the day of remembrance of Seraphim of Sarov, which was attended by thousands of pilgrims. An outdoor Divine Liturgy took place in the square in front of the Transfiguration Cathedral of the Seraphim‑Diveevo Monastery.
