Road repairs to the village of Matyushevo in the Sosnovsky District have been completed as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."

      Repairs on the road "Access to the village of Matyushevo" over four kilometers long have been completed in the Sosnovsky municipal district. The work was carried out under the national project "Infrastructure for Life," the Main Directorate for Motor Roads of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast reported.

      "In recent years we decided to repair rural roads completely, not in sections. Thus, in the village of Matyushevo all 4.09 km have been brought to regulatory condition. This road connects to the Pavlovo – Sosnovskoye – Lesunovo – Mukhtolovo – Sakony route, and as a result travel time for residents to the interregional road Ryazhsk – Kasimov – Murom – Nizhny Novgorod will now be no more than 15 minutes. I would like to remind you that in 2025, under the national project, repairs will be carried out on 35 roads leading specifically to villages and hamlets, with a total length of 153 km, which is 1.5 times more than last year," said Leonid Samukhin, director of the State Public Institution of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast "Main Directorate for Motor Roads" (GKU NO "GUAD").

      On the road to Matyushevo the contractor stabilized the soils, laid the top layer of asphalt concrete along the entire length of the road, and reinforced the shoulders with crushed stone. The cost of the work under the contract amounted to 39.6 million rubles.

      "The work was carried out based on a defect list developed by employees of the Main Directorate for Motor Roads, and within the timeframes established by the state contract. Among the main indicators are asphalt compliance with standards, the thickness of the laid layer, and the width of the shoulders. The entire process is continuously monitored by district supervisors from GUAD," said Ilya Podmarev, general director of the contracting company.

      To date, 124 km of roads have been repaired in the Sosnovsky district under the national project. This is almost 70% of the district's entire regional road network.

      Road repairs in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast are being carried out within the national project "Infrastructure for Life," initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin to provide citizens with modern infrastructure. The national project consists of 11 federal projects, which are in part a continuation of the previously implemented national projects "Safe High-Quality Roads," "Housing and Urban Environment," and state programs of the Russian Federation. They are aimed, among other things, at developing road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road traffic safety, and developing public passenger transport.
