Firefighters from OMK's Vyksa plant won silver at the district competitions.

      The fire safety and civil protection management team of the Vyksa plant of the United Metallurgical Company (OMK) took second place in a firefighting and drill training competition. The tournament was held in Vyksa and brought together the strongest duty crews from the garrisons of Vyksa, Navashino, Kulebaki and Voznesenskoye, which are part of the 8th fire-rescue detachment. This was reported by the company's press service.

      The competition included three stages: setting up a three-section ladder to a third-floor window, a firefighting deployment, and an ascent by assault ladder into the fourth-floor window of the training tower. Teams were evaluated not only on speed but also on the accuracy of task execution, including rescuing simulated casualties and taking on water.

      The victory was claimed by the team of the 56th fire-rescue unit of Vyksa. Second place went to the OMK firefighters, and third to representatives of the 40th unit from Navashino. In the individual standings factory unit commander Sergey Antonov distinguished himself, posting the best result in the ascent on the assault ladder.

      "We are proud of our team and its achievements; this reflects the hard work and high qualification of our firefighters. Such competitions help us not only to test the level of training but also to strengthen the team spirit, which is so important in our profession," said Mikhail Antonov, head of the fire safety and civil protection department.
