      In Nizhny Novgorod an architectural and artistic concept for the improvement of the area near the Shaiba shopping center, the Gordeevsky Department Store shopping center and the surface-transport stops "Tunnel of the Moscow Railway Station" has been officially adopted. The resolution was published on the city administration’s website.

      It is noted that the document is aimed at creating a unified visual appearance for this part of Moskovskoye Highway. The concept covers both the placement of non-stationary retail objects and the design of information structures, including signs and advertising elements.

      Among the key goals of the project are the regularization of building facade appearances, the coordination of architectural and color solutions, and the determination of permissible formats and locations for kiosks, pavilions and shelter pavilions.

      The document prescribes requirements for color schemes, fonts and the placement of signs. For example, information structures must be executed in a unified style, using the Inter font and a limited color palette corresponding to the building facade. Decorative and hard-to-read fonts are prohibited, as is duplicating information on the same facade.

      As for retail objects, the concept defines permissible dimensions, materials and the appearance of kiosks and pavilions. All objects must be placed on specially designated plots with a hard surface, without the installation of foundations and with a maximum height of up to 3 meters.

      The architectural and artistic concept also contains photographic documentation of the current state of facades, diagrams of the placement of structures and a base plan of the territory.

      Earlier it was reported that a unified design code for Sovnarkomovskaya Street was approved in Nizhny Novgorod.
