Nizhny Novgorod hosts delegations from sister cities.

      Society. In Nizhny Novgorod an international forum "Sister and Partner Cities" kicked off, timed to coincide with City Day. Representatives of more than 20 sister cities and 6 partner cities from around the world are taking part in the event.

      As noted by Nizhny Novgorod mayor Yuri Shalabaev on his Telegram channel, the forum has become a unique platform for exchanging ideas and experiences between municipalities. According to him, despite differences in culture and geography, all participants are united by a commitment to sustainable economic development, improving the quality of education, developing culture and sport, as well as enhancing the urban environment and the social sphere.

      Within the framework of the forum, a wide range of issues is planned to be discussed together with delegations from Sukhumi, Minsk, Vitebsk, Kerman, Bender, Novi Sad, East Sarajevo and other cities. It is expected that the joint ideas will form the basis for new practical projects.

      In addition, the mayor said that several cooperation agreements and memorandums are planned to be signed during the forum, which will allow Nizhny Novgorod to strengthen and expand its international ties.

      Earlier it was reported that participants of the BRICS countries' international motor rally passed through the Nizhny Novgorod region.
