      Deputies at all levels continue to take an active part in the party campaign "Prepare a Child for School," which is currently underway in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      "The start of the school year is an important milestone in every pupil's life. Parents face the need to purchase stationery, clothing, shoes and other supplies. For some families such expenses become a serious test. United Russia continues its traditional campaign 'Prepare a Child for School.' This initiative helps thousands of families each year prepare their children for the new academic year by providing pupils with necessary supplies and reducing the financial burden on families," said Viktor Lunin, head of the regional public reception office of the United Russia party.

      As Viktor Lunin reported, more than 500 children — future first-graders from low-income and large families, as well as children of participants in the special military operation — have already received backpacks and school supplies. They were handed over by Members of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Yury Stankevich, Natalya Nazarova and Vadim Bulavinov; Chair of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Social Issues Natalya Smotrakova; regional Legislative Assembly deputy Solomon Apoyan; regional coordinator of the United Russia project "New School" Margarita Bannikova; and head of the regional branch of "Fathers of Russia" Dmitry Isaev.

      Together with the head of local government of the Bogorodsky municipal district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Alexey Korotkov, and the Chair of the Council for the Protection of Women's Rights of the Bogorodsky municipal district, Zinaida Panicheva, the school sets were also presented by the deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and head of the party faction in the regional parliament, Alexey Antonov. He presented school sets to the large Klikin family.

      "For large families, preparing for school is always a serious burden. Ekaterina and Sergey are raising five children. Sergey Nikolaevich serves in the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), and Ekaterina Andreevna worked for many years at a kindergarten. The eldest daughter, Apollinariya, studies at a construction technical college; Anna is a ninth-grader and an activist; Makary is in 5th grade and is passionate about football; Pavel attends kindergarten; and the youngest, Yaroslav, is only seven months old. In 2024 the family took part in the regional competition 'Nizhny Novgorod Family.' Their family is a true example of hard work and family values. I wish that in the new school year your children bring you joy with their achievements," said Alexey Antonov.

      As a reminder, ahead of the new school year the all-Russian charity campaign "Prepare a Child for School," organized by United Russia and the Young Guard of United Russia as part of the party project "New School," has started in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This year assistance is aimed at first-graders from low-income families, first-graders from large low-income families, first-graders with disabilities, and children of participants in the special military operation.
