      In Nizhny Novgorod, four kindergartens will undergo major renovations in 2025. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the Department of Construction and Capital Repair.

      According to them, the work is being carried out under the state program "Capital Repair of Educational Organizations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region." Thus, at MBDOU "Kindergarten No. 166" the facade is being repaired, and at kindergartens No. 97 and No. 208 "Komarovsky" the roofs are being repaired. For one more facility the customer is the Department of Education; information about it was not provided.

      In addition, major repairs have begun at seven schools and two supplementary education institutions. The works are commissioned by the Department of Construction and Capital Repair, the Department of Education and the institutions themselves.

      Also, from 2025 measures are being implemented to build several new kindergartens as part of the federal project "Support for the Family" of the national project "Family." New preschool institutions will appear on Vaneeva Street by building No. 22, in the "Torpedo" residential complex, in the area of the village of Kuznechikha on the "Sever–Sever" development site, and in the "Zenit-2" residential complex — within the boundaries of Gagarin Avenue and Beketov, Nartov and Meditsinskaya streets.

      Construction funding is provided from federal, regional and city budgets.

      It was previously reported that the Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Construction issued permits to build two kindergartens in the regional center: on Vaneeva Street near building No. 221 and in the "Torpedo" residential complex. Another will be built near the village of Kuznechikha on the "Sever–Sever" site.

      It also became known that four new schools with 4,700 places will open in the Nizhny Novgorod region by the start of the school year. Three of them are in Nizhny Novgorod.
