Incidents In Pavlov, bailiffs together with traffic police inspectors carried out a raid as part of the "Road Bailiff" campaign and identified several car owners with large debts, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region reported.
The special "Road Bailiff" system, installed on a patrol car, automatically read the license plates of passing vehicles and checked them against a database of debtors. Over several hours of checks the system detected five drivers who had accumulated debts on taxes, loans, fines and utility bills.
As a result, seizure orders were issued for three vehicles. The total amount of debt under these enforcement proceedings exceeded 1.5 million rubles. The seized cars included a Hyundai, a Lada Granta and a Lada Priora. All were placed into safekeeping.
One of the owners, not wanting to part with his Priora, immediately paid a debt of more than 250,000 rubles. Another driver also chose not to take a risk and paid off a debt of 11,000 rubles on the spot.
The other participants in the raid were given 10 days to voluntarily settle their debts. If they do not, their vehicles will be put up for sale and the proceeds will be used to repay the debts.
Earlier it was reported that a resident of Vyksa who took part in the special military operation paid off alimony arrears of more than one million rubles.
