      Designers from the United Metallurgical Company (OMK) in the Nizhny Novgorod region won the all-Russian competition "Information Modeling and Engineering Technologies" ("TIMI 2025"). The company reported this.

      Their development — a digital information model of the reconstruction of a workshop building — was recognized as the best. It includes detailed data on the object's architecture, engineering systems, materials used and operational characteristics. It contains more than 200,000 elements.

      According to OMK representatives, such a digital tool significantly increases the efficiency of design and construction process management, as well as minimizes errors and costs.

      The competition jury noted the high complexity of the model and the quality of the software solutions implementation achieved through the use of domestic technologies and the team's own developments.

      Head of the Information Modeling Department of OMK's Vyksa plant, Dmitry Maslikhin, noted that participating in contests of this level is routine; however, the victory achieved using domestic software, which the company switched to only three years ago, was the team's first such achievement.

      "It was interesting to be in the same category and compete with industrial giants whose modeling scales are truly impressive," he commented.

      The "TIMI 2025" competition took place as part of the conference of the same name (18+), which became a platform for exchanging experience in the field of design digitalization. Participants presented projects in three categories differing by the number of elements in the models. OMK's development became the leader in the most complex — over 200,000 elements.
