More than 300 new free Wi-Fi hotspots are available in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The public Wi-Fi map in Nizhny Novgorod Region has been expanded. According to the Nizhny Novgorod government, 334 new hotspots were added.

      Free Wi‑Fi is now available in six multifunctional centers in Nizhny Novgorod and three MFCs in Dzerzhinsk. By the end of the month, another two centers in Nizhny Novgorod are planned to be connected to the network, as well as branches in Kstovo and Vyksa.

      Earlier, about thirty access points appeared at stops and in public spaces in Dzerzhinsk.

      In addition, almost 300 hotspots were added in small settlements across the region. They operate under the federal program "Eliminating the Digital Divide 1.0".

      An up-to-date map showing places with free Wi‑Fi can be viewed in the web version of the "Resident Map of Nizhny Novgorod Region" portal. In the mobile app of this platform, the map is available even without an internet connection.

      The map is regularly updated as new hotspots are connected.

      Earlier it was reported that Russia's Ministry of Digital Development had developed a technical model that will allow citizens to retain access to basic digital services in case of mobile internet restrictions.
