A facial recognition system in the Nizhny Novgorod region will require 22 million rubles.

      The state autonomous institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (GAU NO) "Center for Coordination of Digital Economy Projects" has announced a tender to purchase facial biometric recognition software, according to the public procurement website.

      According to the technical specification, the purchase includes 1,100 licenses for the FindFace Multi software, intended for processing video data, detecting faces and maintaining a biometric database within the city's video surveillance system. It is also planned to purchase a 12-month technical support certificate for the existing 5,600 licenses. Almost 22 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes.

      The purpose of the procurement is the development of the GIS ECHV of the Nizhny Novgorod Region video surveillance system operating in the region. The project is financed by a subsidy from the Nizhny Novgorod Region budget under the state program "Information Society of the Nizhny Novgorod Region."

      The transfer of licenses and the certificate must be completed within 10 calendar days from the date of contract signing. Early delivery is possible by agreement of the parties.

      Applications to participate in the procurement are open from August 11 to August 27, 2025.
