      Incidents. The investigation of a criminal case against a man accused of murdering a woman with particular cruelty has been completed in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      According to investigators, the tragedy occurred in September 2024 in Gorodets. During drinking together, a conflict arose between the man and his acquaintance. In the course of the quarrel the accused inflicted more than 60 blows on the woman with various objects found in the apartment, including knives and forks.

      The victim died at the scene from her injuries. After committing the crime the man left the scene and went into hiding.

      Thanks to the prompt actions of police officers and investigators he was detained in another region. At the request of the investigation the court remanded him in custody.

      The criminal case, with the approved indictment, has now been sent to court for trial on the merits.

      Earlier it was reported that in Nizhny Novgorod the investigation of a criminal case against the head of the organization responsible for the maintenance of the city's green areas has been completed.
