      LLC "Daido Metal Rus" was held administratively liable after an incident involving an explosion that injured a metal melter, the Nizhny Novgorod State Labor Inspectorate reports.

      Recall that late on the evening of June 2, on the territory of the motor plant, while transferring coolant-lubricant from a transport tank into a process vessel at the workshop, vapors of the liquid reached a heated transfer pump. As a result, an explosion and a fire occurred.

      A 34-year-old metals and alloys melter of grade 4 at LLC "Daido Metal Rus", who was nearby, suffered thermal burns to the head, face, neck and back over 10% of his body. He was taken to hospital. Medics classified the injuries as severe. The prosecutor’s office has taken an interest in the incident.

      Specialists from the supervisory agency found that the main cause was the employee’s violation of work rules and labor discipline. In addition, the incident was influenced by a lack of supervisory control over the course of work by the managers. As a result of the investigation, LLC "Daido Metal Rus" was ordered to pay a fine of 50,000 rubles.
