Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region are taking part in the events of the 4th Congress of Small Towns of the Grodno and Nizhny Novgorod Regions.

      From 12 to 14 August the IV Congress of Small Towns of the Grodno Region of the Republic of Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod Region of the Russian Federation will be held in the city of Mosty, Grodno Region. Taking part in the Congress are the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Evgeny Lyulin and regional parliament deputies Igor Norenkov, Vladimir Bespalov, Vladimir Pakov, Maxim Rebrov, Solomon Apoyan and Alexey Stepanov.

      On 12 August Evgeny Lyulin, as part of the Nizhny Novgorod Region delegation, will meet with Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Yury Karaev. The meeting will discuss current issues of cooperation between the regions, including in the field of legislation.

      On 13 August, as part of the IV Congress of Small Towns, sessions of thematic sections will be held: “Youth. Culture. Tourism”, “Interparliamentary and Interregional Cooperation”, “Economy”, “Agro-Industrial Complex”. The sections will be organized simultaneously in several locations across the Republic of Belarus.

      On 14 August Evgeny Lyulin will take part in the plenary session of the IV Congress of Small Towns of the Grodno Region of the Republic of Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod Region of the Russian Federation. Before the start of the session, Congress participants will visit an exhibition-fair showcasing the achievements of the districts of the Grodno and Nizhny Novgorod regions.

      During the plenary session, Congress participants will discuss the results of the specialized sections’ work, as well as issues of further development and promotion of the Congress of Small Towns as a form of interregional cooperation.
