The first guests have moved into the Naimark IT campus, according to Governor Gleb Nikitin of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, who announced this on his Telegram channel.
This week, participants of the IT Academy in information security from various regions of Russia and Belarus moved into the modern dormitories. A total of 80 students will reside in the campus, spending the week acquiring practical skills in cybersecurity.
The governor noted that the academy attendees will gain some of the most in-demand knowledge and competencies today. According to him, cybersecurity specialists are extremely necessary both in the public sector and in business—regardless of its scale.
"I wish the young 'academics' good luck in their studies! They will acquire the most relevant skills in the modern world. Cybersecurity experts are in demand in both the public sector and Russian businesses of any size," added Gleb Nikitin.
In September, the campus dormitories will host participants of the World Youth Assembly, which will take place in Nizhny Novgorod.
It is worth recalling that the dormitories, built in the form of cubes, are designed for 1,359 places. Each floor has 6-7 blocks, each containing two living rooms, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. The blocks are designed for 2-3 people: there are single- and double-occupancy rooms. The hall features a common relaxation area with a kitchen, sofa, TV, and balcony. Some rooms also have balconies.
Earlier, it was reported that eight people won grants to study at the Naimark IT campus in Nizhny Novgorod.
