In Nizhny Novgorod, public transport will temporarily change due to preparations and celebrations of the city's 804th anniversary, city administration reports.
From August 12 to 15, as well as from August 17 to 20, a section of Minina and Pozharskogo Square — from Varvarskaya Street to Georgievsky Exit — will be fully closed. During this period, buses No. 13, 19, 24, 31, 40, 45, 64, 74, 90, 97, 226, and 304 will run along Piskunova and Varvarskaya Streets in both directions.
Additional restrictions will be in place from August 16 to 17. For one day, the passage through Minina and Pozharskogo Square, as well as along Minina and Varvarskaya Streets — from Piskunova to the square itself — will be closed. Additionally, Zelensky Exit from house No. 9 on Pochaevsky Ravine to Minina and Pozharskogo Square will be blocked. During this period, the routes of electric buses E9, E13, and E17 will be directed along Piskunova, Ulyanova, Nesterova, and Bolshaya Pechorskaya Streets up to the terminus near the "River College" building.
Buses No. 3, 61, 70, and 91 heading toward Svoboda Square will pass through Pohvalinsky Exit, Maslyakova Street, Gorky Square, Gorky Street, Osharskaya, Oktyabrskaya, and Varvarskaya. In the opposite direction, towards Kanavinsky Bridge, they will travel along Varvarskaya, Oktyabrskaya, Osharskaya, Gorky, Gorky Square, Gorky Streets, Ilyinskaya, Malaya Pokrovskaya, and Pohvalinsky Exit.
Buses No. 13, 19, 24, 45, 74, 90, 226, and 304 headed to Minina Street will travel via Pohvalinsky Exit, Maslyakova Street, Gorky Square, Gorky, Osharskaya, Oktyabrskaya, Varvarskaya, and Piskunova. In the direction of Kanavinsky Bridge — via Piskunova, Varvarskaya, Oktyabrskaya, Osharskaya, Gorky, Gorky Square, Gorky Streets, Ilyinskaya, Malaya Pokrovskaya, and Pohvalinsky Exit.
Buses No. 40, 64, and 97 will run along Piskunova Street in both directions.
Routes No. 52, 71, and 95 will be directed along the Nizhnevolzhskaya Embankment to the "Hero Boat" stop. All standard stops along the route will be available on these routes.
Additionally, buses No. 1 and 68 will temporarily run only to Gorky Square. Route No. 31 will be shortened to the "Water Academy" stop.
It was previously reported that extensive traffic restrictions will affect several streets in the city center of Nizhny Novgorod.
