Resident of Voskresenskoye Municipal District, Svetlana Filatova, opened her own clothing atelier thanks to a social contract. This is reported by the press service of the governor and the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The woman already had a specialized education as a fifth-grade sewing tailor; she sewed to order at home. In April 2025, Svetlana found a suitable premises for rent, then drafted a business plan and went to the social protection office at her place of residence. Her initiative was approved in May, and she was allocated 350 thousand rubles. The received amount was used to purchase necessary equipment: a industrial machine for dense fabrics and a machine for lightweight fabrics, an industrial overlock, a steam generator, a furrier’s sewing machine, a domestic sewing machine for buttonholes and zigzag, a large cutting table, a cabinet for orders and hardware, as well as a table for household machines, a printer, and a computer. The remaining funds were used for interior decoration of the atelier. The funds also covered two months’ rent.
