The oldest pediatrician in Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir Bordei, died at the age of 87.

      Incidents Vladimir Igorevich Bordey has passed away — one of the most respected and experienced pediatricians in Nizhny Novgorod. His death was announced by the chief editor of the medical publication "Stationary Press" Aleksei Nikonov in his Telegram channel.

      He noted that Vladimir Bordey lived to be 87 years old, leaving a bright mark in the history of regional medicine. His name is known to dozens of generations of graduates of the Gorky and Nizhny Novgorod pediatric schools.

      Bordey was born in 1937. In 1960, he graduated from Gorky Medical Institute named after Kirov. Since 1989, he held the position of associate professor of child diseases at the Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy.

      Vladimir Igorevich specialized in pediatric cardiology and made significant contributions to the development of this field. For his achievements, he was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Higher and Specialized Education of the Russian Federation.
