Nizhny Novgorod children's product manufacturers can apply for the "Golden Teddy Bear" award.

      Nizhny Novgorod companies are invited to participate in the XVI National Award in the field of goods and services for children "Golden Bear Cub." The award is established by the Association of Children's Industry Enterprises (AIDT). It is held annually with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, relevant ministries and agencies, and regional authorities.

      According to Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod region, participating in the industry competition is an opportunity for regional companies to increase brand recognition and gain acknowledgment of product quality.

      "The 'Golden Bear Cub' award has been held annually for 16 years, and Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs regularly become laureates. This year, four companies from our region have already been among the winners. Currently, applications for the 2026 award are being accepted. The evaluation of contestants will be based on several key criteria, including novelty, effectiveness, public recognition, quality, and social responsibility," said Maxim Cherkasov.

      The 'Golden Bear Cub' award is conducted in two stages. The first stage – 'Leaders of Childhood Infrastructure' – will determine the best in the categories: 'Company of the Year,' 'Leader of the Year,' 'Brand of the Year,' 'Social and Marketing Project of the Year,' 'Social and Charitable Project of the Year.' The second stage – 'Best Products for Childhood' – will see companies competing in categories: 'Best Toys and Games,' 'Best Educational Equipment and Learning Tools,' 'Best Stationery, School and Creativity Supplies,' 'Best Licensed Products of the Year.'

      "The National 'Golden Bear Cub' award is an open platform for dialogue and professional feedback between manufacturers, experts, and consumers. Moreover, this dialogue continues after the award ceremony. It’s an opportunity to enhance brand recognition and showcase your products nationwide. This is especially important as parents increasingly prefer domestic, high-quality, and safe goods for children. We invite you to confirm your products' best characteristics and obtain an industry quality and trust mark," appealed AIDT President Antonina Tzitsulina.

      Manufacturers of games and toys, clothing, school and sports uniforms, children's and sports footwear, products for mothers and babies, children's cosmetics, hygiene and household chemicals, educational materials, children's and school furniture, and other children’s goods are eligible to participate.

      Applications are accepted until April 30, 2026, via the website https://www.kidsaward.ru/nominatsii/.

      The award ceremony will take place on June 10, 2026, at the Federation Council venue.

      In 2025, four Nizhny Novgorod companies became winners of the 'Golden Bear Cub' award:

      - LLC "Luminos" (manufacturer of polymer safety lighting, small architectural forms, and equipment for children’s playgrounds) - 2nd place in the category "Best Children's Playgrounds";

      - LLC "Komod Furniture Factory" (furniture for educational institutions) – 3rd place in "Best Children’s Furniture";

      - LLC "Vozvuden Workshop" (wooden toys) – 3rd place in "Best Products for Mothers and Babies";

      - LLC "Ne Molchi" (children’s wooden games and toys) - 3rd place in "Best Educational Equipment and Learning Tools."

      The Nizhny Novgorod region hosts a children's goods industry cluster, comprising over 80 companies. Cluster participants can receive preferential certification, trademark registration, participate in international trade shows and festivals, and get reimbursements for equipment purchases and marketplace entry.

      All support measures for businesses at federal and regional levels are detailed at "My Business" center (moybuisness52.rf), operating within the framework of the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."       The national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy," initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is the main tool for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at developing small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and enhancing the statistical and forecasting system of the government. One of the main objectives of the "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" national project is to create conditions for easy startup and comfortable business management. Support activities continue within the framework of the "Efficient and Competitive Economy" national project.
