Nizhny Novgorod volunteers received transportation funds for humanitarian aid from the deputies.

      On August 5th, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Vladislav Atmakhov met with volunteers from the Nizhny Novgorod Region. This meeting was a continuation of events from a month earlier, when activists gathered in the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region to discuss aid for service members in the SVO zone. At that time, volunteers unanimously highlighted a pressing issue: the lack of transportation for delivering humanitarian aid to the front line. To address this, on the initiative of deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Vladislav Atmakhov and Anton Ananin, a solid metal GAZelle ("Prostorka") vehicle was purchased. Now, volunteers have a reliable means to transport humanitarian aid and all necessary items for our fighters. The meeting also noted that hybrid warfare has led to the front line being saturated with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The "gray zone," where drones operate, has expanded to 15 kilometers, making movement there extremely dangerous. To protect volunteer drivers who will operate the new GAZelle, a decision was made to equip it with a special device – a UAV detector for satellite aircraft. During the meeting, a practical test of this detector was conducted. Volunteers, who will work with the vehicle, gathered at a training site. Using drones flying on different frequencies, they tested how the device detects threats in real conditions. "The device performed well. It helps the driver and provides precious time to make a decision, such as evacuating the vehicle if a direct threat arises. For us, the most important thing is people, not metal. This device is a real tool for saving the lives of our volunteers, who risk themselves to help soldiers," noted Vladislav Atmakhov.
