The annual readiness check of schools for the new school year has begun in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On the eve of the new school year, the traditional inspection of educational institutions has begun. Party activists and deputies of "United Russia" at various levels of government, together with public figures, representatives of school administrations, and parents' committees, are inspecting: the overall condition of buildings, the quality of repairs, fire safety systems, classrooms, school cafeterias and canteens, yard territories, and sports facilities.

      One of the first institutions visited by the "Parent Inspection" was the well-known "Space School," located on Gagarin Avenue in the Prioksky District of Nizhny Novgorod.

      "Our experienced leaders work in the schools of the Prioksky District. They know what requires special attention in their educational institutions. I am confident that our inspections will confirm the high competence level of school administrations. For example, School No. 34, where we are today, is fully prepared for September 1. All necessary work, including sanitation and cleaning, has been completed within the set deadlines," said Vladimir Podymnikov-Gordeev, a City Duma deputy and secretary of the local branch of the "United Russia" party in Prioksky District.

      MBOU "School No. 34" is located in the Gagarinsky Heights residential complex. It opened on Cosmonautics Day, April 12, 2021. The school has 808 students in 32 classes. The educational institution features distinctive thematic decor inspired by space flights. The murals depict various eras: from Icarus's wings to rocket building.

      "Such inspections are a standard annual procedure. We've been working since 2021. Accordingly, the building is new, but maintenance work is always ongoing. We thoroughly prepare for the new school year during the summer period. Today, our efforts were positively evaluated. That is very valuable to us," shared the director of MBOU "School No. 34," Ilya Sutyrin.

      The school offers additional education programs. Students can attend classes in technical, natural sciences, physical education and sports, arts, tourist and local history, and social-humanitarian subjects. Thanks to the rich extracurricular life, children spend most of their free time at school, which sets higher requirements.

      "Today we saw that the staff of the educational institution prepared the school for the new academic year at a high level. I want to note that the school administration cares very attentively for the building and maintains it excellently. We inspected the main premises: medical rooms, gymnasium, specialized classrooms. We also checked the entrance group for anti-terrorist security. We can confidently give the highest score," said Natalia Smotrakova, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      By the end of the week, inspections of 10 more educational institutions in Prioksky District of Nizhny Novgorod are planned.

      Recall that annual readiness checks of schools for the new academic year are conducted nationwide as part of the "New School" partnership project. The party actively monitors the condition of educational institutions. One of the key directions of the "United Russia" people's program is the capital repair and construction of schools. All stages—from project development to acceptance—are strictly overseen by activists and deputies.
