Nizhny Novgorod Region selected the best municipalities for 2024

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region summarized the results of the annual assessment of local government activities for 2024. This was announced by Deputy Governor Egor Polyakov on his Telegram channel.
The ranking was based on 14 criteria, including economic and social indicators, as well as residents' satisfaction levels with local authorities' work. Specifically, six economic and seven social indicators were considered.
As a result of the assessment, the best municipalities were highlighted in five categories, grouped according to population size.
Among territories with a population over 70,000, the leader was the city district of Arzamas. The second place went to Pavlovsky municipal district, and the third — to Vyksa.
In the group of municipalities with a population from 25,000 to 70,000, the top spot was taken by Volodarsky municipal district. Followed by Shakhunya and Semenovsky districts.
Among districts with a population from 17,000 to 25,000, Krasnobakovsky municipal district was recognized as the best. Piltinsky and Dальnekostantynovsky districts ranked second and third, respectively.
In the category of 12,000 to 17,000 residents, Tônsheyevsky municipal district was the winner. Sашеновский and Voznesensky districts followed.
Among municipalities with a population of less than 12,000, Knyagininsky municipal district took first place. Second place went to Bolshebolodinsky district, and third — to Sharangsky.
All municipalities that placed in the top three in their categories will receive grants from the regional budget.
The municipalities that secured first places will be awarded the Honorary Standard of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
It was previously reported that the minimum food basket per person costs residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region 7,125 rubles.
