      Joint Stock Company "Citymatik – Nizhny Novgorod" has engaged a new contractor for the transportation of solid municipal waste. As of August 1, 2025, the carrier has begun operations, deploying 16 units of specialized equipment.

      Four roll-off containers and two scrap carriers will service the Gorodetsky municipality district (excluding the city of Zavolzhye and the worker settlement of Pervomaysky). In Sokolsky and Koverninsky districts, three waste carriers and one scrap carrier are active. An additional seven vehicles are assigned to waste removal in the Semenovsky district.

      All equipment is equipped with satellite navigation, allowing real-time tracking of waste collection schedules.

      According to the company, legislation permits regulatory operators to involve third-party carriers for waste transportation. This is provided for by the current federal Resolution No. 1156 on the procedures for handling municipal solid waste.

      It was previously reported that new rules for waste collection and removal would come into effect in the Nizhny Novgorod region starting September.
