Nizhny Novgorod Governor Gleb Nikitin met with Andrey Ruming, CEO of the "Rosseti" company. The main topic of the discussion was the development of the electric grid infrastructure in the region, preparation for the winter season, and the implementation of a previously signed agreement, as reported by the regional government’s press service.

According to Gleb Nikitin, stable power supply and the ability to connect new facilities are the foundation for territorial growth.

"The project currently being implemented in the Olgina and Novinki districts fully covers the needs of these areas in trunk capacities. Similar to this, we plan to improve power supply to consumers in the oncological center area and the Semashko hospital, taking into account plans to create a large medical cluster here," emphasized the governor.

Andrey Ruming noted that the industry in Nizhny Novgorod is actively developing, including through high-tech enterprises, which contributes to job growth. He also mentioned that special attention is paid to social policy and family support, with housing construction remaining one of the priorities. All of this requires timely modernization and development of the electric grid infrastructure.

Ruming added that in 2025, the company plans to invest more than 14 billion rubles in the region. Over the next two years, two 110 kV substations will be built in the region, providing electricity to nearly 650,000 square meters of housing within the Nizhny Novgorod agglomeration.

It is also planned to complete the reconstruction of a large 220 kV energy facility, which supplies electricity to the southeastern part of Nizhny Novgorod, as well as the Bogorodsky and Kstovsky districts. About 400,000 people live here, and over 200 large enterprises operate.

It was previously reported that Russia’s Minister of Health, Mikhail Murashko, and Nizhny Novgorod Governor Gleb Nikitin discussed the strategic development of the regional healthcare system.
