The prices of basic food products in the Nizhny Novgorod region continue to rise. According to Nizhny Novgorod Statistics, in June 2025, the minimum food basket per person cost residents of the region 7,125.79 rubles.
This amount is 2.3% higher than in May and 14.8% more expensive than at the beginning of the year. In June 2024, the same set cost 5,674.77 rubles.
The increase affected not only food products. The cost of a fixed set of consumer goods and services used to assess the population’s purchasing power also grew. It now costs 23,921.06 rubles per person.
In a month, the price of this set increased by 0.8%, and since the beginning of the year, by 5.5%. A year ago, residents of Nizhny Novgorod spent 21,378.90 rubles on it.
It was previously reported that the average price of a liter of gasoline in the region rose to 60.56 rubles.
