Liskovo Day took place in Nizhny Novgorod

The headquarters of the Public Support for the United Russia Party for a few hours turned into a bright showcase of the unique Lyskovsky municipal district. "Lyskov Day" brought together residents of Nizhny Novgorod of various ages: seniors, youth, children. All unified by an interest in traditions, crafts, and the development of their homeland.

During the solemn opening ceremony, honored guests addressed the participants with welcome words. "Regions are strong with their municipalities: their uniqueness lies in traditions, folk craft products, and tourist attractions. This is part of our great country, which we see here today thanks to the United Russia project. And each exhibit presented is not just an artisan creation — it carries a soul," emphasized Vyacheslav Aksinin, a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

Organizers prepared exhibits showcasing the most striking features of the region. The central exhibit was a unique map of Lyskov appeared, crafted using patchwork technique. Spectators called the panel a true "anthem of folk art."

In the Small Hall, the hands of masters worked wonders. In the "Pressed Floristry" studio, they taught how to create postcards with dried flowers. Tapestry weavers from "Hand Weaving" shared secrets of textile creation on a loom.

The reception area was transformed into a creative laboratory. Artisans from the "Knitting with a Web" group demonstrated how to create elegant decorative scarves. Seamstresses from the "Patchwork Sewing" studio taught how to make traditional Motanka dolls. Participants eagerly made beads from fabric and wood during master classes. The "Ribbon Painting" exhibition showcased works by artisans working in this technique.

The large hall became the epicenter of festive activities. Lively songs sounded on stage, and scenes were performed by the People's Exemplary Amateur Collective "Russian Song." Models from the fashion and style theater "Diva Model" dazzled in outfits from handmade collections during a bright fashion show.

At "Lyskov Day," visitors could learn about the city's history. Throughout the event, a documentary film about the Lyskovsky municipal district was displayed on screens.

The tasting was very popular: guests appreciated the taste of natural cheeses, jams, and refreshing lemonade.

"We present works by Lyskov masters, potters, and seamstresses. I would like to highlight the products of one of the young and most promising producers of ecological goods — the Eco-Farm company. They produce natural dairy products according to European standards. At this celebration, residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region could learn about what is made here, what is happening in the district, and how its history developed. Our region boasts its landscapes, unique natural sites, and ancient history. We welcome everyone to the hospitable Lyskov land," said Alexander Kochmarov, head of the Lyskovsky municipal district.

Dmitry Filippenko, regional executive committee leader of the United Russia party, emphasized the importance of the project for the entire region: "Today, the Lyskovsky municipal district presents its products and shares its experience. The holiday is organized within the framework of the 'Municipality Day' project. Its main goal is to immerse Nizhny Novgorod residents in the life of a particular district. Living in one region, we do not always know what is happening in our neighbors. When we go to the store and choose products, we may not even realize what we have on our shelves — for example, the beautiful Baikal, produced right here in Nizhny Novgorod. This project is aimed at informing residents about life in the Nizhny Novgorod region, about what can be learned from various municipalities," Dmitry Filippenko said.

A bright finale of the day was the awarding of activists from the local branch of the "Young Guard of United Russia" of the Lyskovsky district. The leader of the regional branch of the "Young Guard of United Russia," Roman Zykov, together with Alexander Kochmarov and Dmitry Filippenko awarded those who actively participated and made significant personal contributions to the development of the youth movement "Young Guard of United Russia" in the Lyskovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

"Today, we saw not only the richness of Lyskov land's traditions but also the energy of its future — our youth. Activists of the 'Young Guard' of the Lyskov district are genuine enthusiasts who contribute invaluable efforts to the development of their small homeland and the entire region through their projects and work. Their energy, initiative, and dedication deserve the highest praise. We are proud of our young guards and are sure that the future of Nizhny Novgorod depends on such young people," commented Roman Zykov.

"Lyskov Day" in Nizhny Novgorod turned out to be a lively celebration where everyone found something to their liking — from immersion in ancient crafts to acquaintance with modern eco-producers, from folk songs to stylish shows. The strength of Russia lies in its regions — in their uniqueness, talents, and people who put their soul into their work.
