Eight people will be sentenced for organizing prostitution in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Eight citizens accused of complicity and organizing prostitution will stand trial in Nizhny Novgorod, reports the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. Two entrepreneurs, a manager and an accountant of a salon, organized the operation of two massage parlors on the city’s territory from August 2019 to May 2024, where intimate services were provided for monetary compensation under the protection of a former police officer. To organize the salons’ activities, the defendants also involved three citizens who were employed as administrators. Additionally, a former police officer is accused of abuse of authority, exceeding official powers with the use of violence resulting in serious consequences, and illegal acquisition, possession, and storage of ammunition for firearms. During the investigation, it was established that the accused caused injury to one of three victims during their detention. During a search of the defendant’s residence, unaccounted ammunition for firearms was found. The offenders’ illegal actions were uncovered by investigators of the SK in cooperation with operational officers of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
