Starting August 1st, Russia has implemented amendments that restrict teenagers from opening bank accounts without written consent from parents, adopters, or guardians, according to Channel "360."
Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized that the new rules give parents greater control over their children's financial activities. This will help prevent potential financial mistakes and protect teenagers from fraud.
Volodin also pointed out that adults should be aware of how minors manage their bank cards to respond promptly to suspicious transactions.
Additionally, from August 1st, Russians gained the ability to opt out of receiving SMS messages from telecom operators. This feature will help users reduce unwanted messages, fight spam, and decrease the risk of falling victim to phone and internet scams.
